TILE REMOVAL &
FLOOR GRINDING

From cracked tiles to a clean, level slab ready for new flooring — completed for a hinterland builder in a single day.

The Brief A builder renovating a property in Witta needed the existing tiled floors gone — tiles, adhesive, the lot — and the slab left clean and level for new floor coverings. Doing it by hand would take days and leave adhesive residue behind. Our commercial-grade grinding equipment did the whole job in one day.

Why It Matters 🔑

New flooring is only ever as good as the surface under it. Old adhesive, uneven patches and tile fragments cause new floors to fail early. Commercial-grade grinding removes everything down to clean concrete — giving the next trade a perfect surface and saving the builder days of labour.

Phase 1
Before — The Problem

Cracked and failing tiles throughout the work area. Before a single tile came up, full dust containment was set up to protect the rest of the home.

Before we started: the original tiled floor, with dust barriers up and ready for a same-day strip-out

Phase 2
Tile Removal & Grinding

Tiles stripped and the slab ground with commercial equipment and constant dust extraction — removal and grinding running side by side to keep the day on schedule.

Phase 3
The Finished Result

By the end of the day: tile and adhesive completely gone, and the slab ground to a smooth, even surface — ready for the next trade to walk straight in.
